BIG NEWS GUYS!... drumroll..........
IM TRANSFERRING!! AGAIN!!!!
I can't believe it! My companion and I thought for sure that she would be leaving and I would be staying since she has been here in this area for almost a year! but surprisingly I am really calm with it the only thing I am nervous about is WHERE AM I GOING!!??? I have no idea. WHOS GOING TO BE MY NEW COMPANION!! One thing that I am really sad about is leaving my companion, Sister Ware!:) I love this chick! but shes going to be going to BYU So i will be seeing her in a year!:)) She goes home in about a month. So sad! But anyways...So this week miracle upon miracle! MIRIAN CAME TO THE TEMPLE OPEN HOUSE!!! So we had decided to finally drop Mirian but we had a ride to the temple open house that one of our investigators bailed out on so we needed someone to come so we go over to mirians and she opens the door and at first she looks really mad and says, "Well its a miracle you guys are even here" but then she breaks out in a smile (thankfully, I dont know what i would have done if a latin lady would have been made at us, that would have been scary) and welcomes us in. We testify to her and tell her, "Mirian we have a ride coming in 15 min to come pick you up for the temple open house. We know your going to feel the spirit there and it will change your life. Will you be ready in time?" And she said yes!!!!!!! goes back inside and is ready in 15 min!!:)) We couldnt believe it!! and then We went and visited Jose (another investigator that we had dropped before, to drop means we dont teach them anymore) and we call him up and the first thing he says is, "COME OVER  RIGHT NOW!" Oh man you should have seen our faces! We were in total shock we were like, "we will be over in fifteen!" and raced to his house:) We talked to him about church and he came to church!!!!! And he loved it so much he has decided to be baptized next sunday!! We are so excited for him and hope that he can bring his whole family next time:)
This week while working at the temple I had a really cool experience. So we were in the reception tent asking people how they liked the temple tour and one guy comes up and asks me, "So where does the Book of Mormon come from? Did Joseph Smith just receive revelation and just start writing?" and I was able to pretty much teach him the whole first vision! I felt the spirit  while talking to him and I felt like he was just soaking it up. He was so intereseted and I hope he will start talking with the missionaries.:) He had never heard about the mormons until he went to the Book of Mormon play which doesnt exactly say good things about Mormons but it made him curious enough to come to the temple open house so there are always blessings:) I love you guys!:) And so excited to hear from you love you!:))))

P.S. Three people told me I looked Italian and asked if I was from Italy (Wink Wink) Maybe I should just tell them I am Italian just to make things exciting:D
P.S.S. Also someone told me I should become a movie star...he might have been a little not exactly there but hey I'll take the compliments where I can get them:)

April 7, 2014-Hialeah, FL

So temple is going awesome!! and I am having a blast over here in my area!:) I love this place so much!! The signs are in spanish even and your HAVE to great everyone with Hola! Como Esta!?:) or they will not reply back!:) I love it! anyways something crazy happened this week. So we were goign to go over to the church to watch conference and we saw this cat that had been hit by a car on the side of the road and thought :( aww sad cat! but then we realized it was still alive!! Turns out that the cat had had its two front paws run over and we didnt know what to do! We pulled over and called the elders to come quick!!!  but when they came we still didnt know what to do with this poor cat! So we found the phonebook (since we cant use anyother website other than lds.org and mormon.org) and called the animal shelter but they were closed:( and told us to go online -_- that was frustrating so finally we got an address and we decided to take the cat to the shelter. We got the towel from the closet that we use for the baptisms and went and picked up the cat. the poor cat was so weak:( I felt so bad for it and we took it to the shelter! Hopefully the cat will survive! We decided to call her miracle! So we arerooting for you miracle! Anyways...other than that I had a great week full of tender mercies and miracles! And General Conference was great!!! It did kind of sound like the world was going to go through something really drastic so they were trying to prepare everyone. So EVERYONE PREPARE!:)) How can I prepare you might ask? Ask the missionaries;)

Love you!!!!
Love Hermana Miles

P.S. Sorry My post was more about a cat than about people but...oh well sorry Next week I will write you to let you know what happens at transferres and if I stay with my companion or not. We have decided that we are going to predict that we are trio training! So that means that we would stay together and get a trainee:)) It would be so much fun!! We were trying to think of pranks we could pull on her the first night! haha poor trainee...

GUYS!
This week we had an amazing miracle! Liduvina got Baptized!! She was a transfer miracle! So the first day after transfer meeting we went harvesting excited to start working and her door was one of the first doors we knocked on! She was so excited to see us and the moment we said we were representatives of Jesus Christ she was so excited she asked where the church was and said that she would be going this sunday even if she had to walk there!! Then she showed us a certificate of a baptism she had had in cuba so we were a little nervous to ask her to be baptized again but we testified and asked her to be baptized by proper authority and she said yes! to everything!! She was even able to go to the temple open house the day before her baptism and she loved it so much! she was crying because she felt the spirit so strong! and after her baptism she came out of the waters and started crying because of how happy she felt!:) We are so happy for her and love her so much!! she feels the spirit so strong every time she comes to church!:) She is an example to me of how important it is to have this desire for the Love of Christ so much that you are willing to do anything for it! We asked her how she felt after the baptism and she said she was so happy she couldn't even descirbe it:)!  we felt so privledged to be a part of bringing this beautiful daughter of God closer to our Heavenly Father and feel so blessed!
Also in other news...WE ARE WORKING AT THE TEMPLE!! We work every forth day and we LOVE IT!! Just being a part of history is makes us feel so special and we love helping at the temple! Our first day was during the VIP week and we worked in the reception tent that people would go through after the tour and it was amazing to see how happy these people were:) They had sandwiches there that were like AMAZING (sorry for talking about food right now but they were so good gusy you wouldnt believe and plus im a little bit hungry) they had like cranberry sauce and then turkey and then gouda cheese!! anyways I ate like four of them...but anyways got a little side tracked WE LOVE THE TEMPLE! We took Liduvina with us like I said before and as we were going out of the parking lot there was this girl that was handing out newspapers that said Temple In Davie! and we thought it was from the church so we got it and got a Spanish one and an English one and handed one to Liduvina. Big MISTAKE! My companion and I started reading it and it was Anti-Mormon stuff! We freaked out. I whispered to my companion, "What do we do?!?! She's reading it!!" My companion said, "I dont know!" (My eyes start getting bigger! I start panicking) "Do we take it out of her hands!" "No I don't think that would be nice" Ahhh!! Then we say to Liduvina "Um...that newspaper isn't saying nice things about the church...so..." Then Liduvina looks up at us and says, "Really? Oh okay" she folds it up in disgust and practically shoves the paper into our hands! :D We were so happy:) She loves the  church so much!! And then more MIRACLES!!!!....
So Mirian and her family where so supposed to come to the temple with us but when we went to go check on her she said she had had a really bad headache for four days and had high blood pressure and the headache was getting worse so she couldnt come:(( So we had some members from the ward come and give her a priesthood blessing. Later on we find out that after we left she started getting a really bad nose bleed and she thinks that she might have had a stroke but that the blessing helped her! She recognized that the blessing was from God and is what helped her!:) Her testimony of the power of God has increased so much now and we set her for a baptism this weekend:) We are so happy for her :D anyways...Did I mention I love the temple! This week has just been amazing!:) a lady in the reception tent went up to my companion and asked, "How do I become a member of your chruch" Now that doesn't happen everyday haha:) so my companion was super estatic and had her fill out a comment card and gave her a Book of Momon!:)
Love her!:) anyways hope you guys had as awesome a week as I did, but I dont know,a temple open house is kind of hard to compete with.:)

Love Hermana Miles

P.S. So one of the important people from Salt Lake came to give us a training before the open house and said, " Okay sisters I know you probably packed away your makeup for during you mission but I want you to break that makeup out and we want you to look you best." All of the sister missionaries look like this -_- what is he trying to say...haha:) anyways we looked beautiful during the open house:) He even said so:) Love you!!

March 24, 2014-Hialeah, FL

Okay guys guess what!? It was another miracle week!! yay!! haha:) Okay so first off. We had a really good week:) I love the people here and just being here being able to be a small part of the Lords work and the opportunities that he has given me are tremendous. I have felt so blessed this week for this opportunity to go on a mission and be able to grow so much in just the few months i have been here. on the other hand,  I have been getting bit like crazy from mosquito's its crazy! and also we were on bikes a lot this week so I have a couple bruises from that:) But i loved every minute of it! Whenever I'm on bikes it makes me feel like I am really doing missionary work! We try to stop everyone we see!:) We even chase down people who are on there bikes and try to pass them a card while they are passing us:)) Its fun!! anyways! so a miracle that happened this week:) LIDUVINA CAME TO CHURCH!! AHH!!:) We were so excited:) so we found liduvina the first day i was in the area and we were teachign her ever since but we were getting to a point that we thought we should stop teaching her. In the middle of this week she calls us and tells us, " I want to get baptized, when can I get baptized??" and we where stoked!:) and then she came to church and was so happy to be there:) she loved it!! It was a little awkward at first when we realized it was ward conference and we had to lift our hand to sustain a million people but she went right along with it and was raising her hand:) It was the best!! and then when a member was talking to her we overheard the member ask her, "So when are you getting baptized?" and liduvina said, "As soon as possible":))ahh!! she told us that she had been able to feel God's love so much more in her life ever since she has been meeting with us and she loved church so much and is coming with us to the open house:) She just came from cuba like a year ago and she is like 70 years old but she is awesome! she was telling us how she used to be a ballerina and a singer on television and the radio when she was younger!! How cool is that!:)) anyways...Everyone in the mission is super excited for the temple its really all anyone can talk about. We just found out that we get to be there for the open house for five whole days!! helping out!:) we are stoked!! anways, my area is a blast! I love it so much! the people here are so humble and ready to accept the gospel and whenever they let us in they offer us food and cookies and pretty much everything they are so nice:) We just went to the wonderful flea market again and it was the best!! We even got some hotdogs and they had corn and raspados and coconuts!! Dream come true!! I love it!!!! anways i love you guys thanks so much for reading my blog!
Love
Hermana Miles:)
HURRAH FOR ISRAEL!
P.S. found another baby name: bathsheba! ...just kidding:) I wouldn't do that to my child.

March 17, 2014-Hialeah, FL

Okay guys this week was full of miracles!!This week we oymed pretty much everyone we saw and since we are kind of running out of miles we have been biking a lot...like a LOT... anyways, while we where on our bikes we tired to talk to everyone we saw. it was kind of comical because my bike is a little bit too tall for me so I have to like jump off my bike and then my skirt flies everywhere and then we like corner these people with our bikes and hand then a card or ask them if they would like a prayer. We might have scared some people but it was a lot of fun and my companion and I were having a blast and we saw so many miracles from this. We found this guy that had a huge countenance change after the prayer and asked us even before we asked him how he felt, "So When are you coming back? I like this feeling" :) I love the area that I am in! It is the absolute best! Everyone here speaks Spanish first and then English :) Its awesome! Even the stores signs are in Spanish!! Some of the places we go to are a little sketchy but its fun!! Everyone is so nice!! We might have seen a wanted sign for a scary looking guy on multiple flies on some apartments we were knocking doors on but its still a blast!:) Heavenly Father has been helping me so much. While we are in lessons I will just open my mouth and hope that something understandable comes out in Spanish and this awesome thing comes out and I'm like, where did that come from? I don't think I've ever used that word in Spanish." Its awesome! Talk about the gift of tongues that heavenly father has been so kind to bless me with. Of course when I have to talk to my companion in language study its a little harder but Im working on it:) Also this week our family that we have been teaching came to church!!! We were so excited!! It was a little stressful because at first they came like 20 minutes late and we wanted them to be there for sacrament so we had them go to sunday school and then took them to the other wards sacrament that starts at eleven and they loved itt!!! They hadn't eaten breakfast before they got there so we were really worried that they were having a horrible time and were so hungry but at the end we asked the grandma how she felt and she was like, "So good! Im not even hungry anymore!" haha:)  that was a relief to hear. I feel like they are our babies and we want them to have the best time ever and try to protect them from anything that might sound weird or anybody that might offend them. I don't think I have ever prayed hard enough for someone who is talking in church not to say anything weird that might make us sound like a cult haaha:) But thankfully they loved it!! and are preparing for baptism! The pictures at the end are of me and an (eternal) investigator Roberto from my old area that would feed us starbuck sandwiches whenever we didn't have even money for food:)) He saved us so many times! I love him!! We heartattacked his house like two months ago and he still has the hearts on his door he is so proud of them:) and then its me in front of a million m&ms and then the temple!!!

Love,
Hermana Miles

Hurrah for Israel

P.S. I have decided to name my child (when I get back home) Luna Luz:) heard it from one of the people I met:)

p.p.s. that's not my companion im sitting next too. She is one of the sisters I live with:) My companion is the one with the blue shirt and the black cardiagan who is blond:) she is AWESOME!

March 10, 2014-Hialeah, FL

Okay guess what guys??? I GOT SENT TO HIALEAH!!!!!! SPANISH SPEAKING!!!!! I am so excited!!! When I first found out I was so surprised I couldnt believe it!! But this area is so AWESOME!! The first day that I had here was increadible!! I couldn't believe it. The people here are just so ready for the gospel. My companion is so awesome too!! Her name is Sister Ware and she is from Washington and I love her!!:) We have a blast together just doing missionary work:) So the first day that I was here was amazing. We went and visited this referral from the Elders and we saw the grandma and the grandkid and they were so excited for church and to get baptized. Then the next day we visited her and her sister was there and when we taught about Joseph Smith her sister got really excited and told her see?? I told you:) Turns out that back in her country she had gone to church a couple times and had loved it and had seen the missionaries and when she saw the Book of Mormon on her sisters table she got really excited. she was so happy when we handed her her very own Book of Mormon and told her she could keep it. Then on the first day we were knocking doors and this lady comes out and loves the prayers and says that she is coming to church even if she had to walk there:) We assured her that we would love for her to come and we even had a ride for her:) The ward here is awesome! When we went to the church that first night the chapel was filled with life I couldn't fit it all into my head. It was like in those movies where you go somewhere and so many things are happening at the same time the person gets overwhelmed (does that make sense) Like in one room the Young women where practicing a song and then in another room the Relief Soceity was having a lesson and then people where talking in the foyer and then the Boy scouts where cutting wood in the kitchen! My  eyes where probably so big I couldn't take it all in! I just realized I like used the word awesome multiple times in this email but there is seriously no other word to explain it. AND the members come out with us and drive us to places! I love them. and oh man! Do they feed us! I love the food so much! Its so delicious!! Im so excited! And then we went to the flea market today that we have in our area and will you believe that they have corn on the cob with chile!!!:)) I couldnt believe it and raspado!! We are so goign there every week now:) Well I love you guys! I had a great week! Thank you for all your prayers!:)
Love Hermana Miles
P.S. I love speaking spanish!

March 4, 2014-Sweetwater, FL

Okay guys guess what? IM TRANSFERRING!!! That means I am finally leaving my first area. It is really unusual for a missionary to be in an area for six months. It is really exciting and Nerve Wracking at the same time. We dont know where I'm going yet I think thats what I am most nervous about!! All missionaries that are leaving there area find out together in this big room on a projector where they put each name up individually and there are a lot of gasps and shocks!:)) EXCITING. But I will definitly miss this area. Being here for so long made me love my ward so much!! They are like my second family now. I remember first being here and not knowing who anyone was and not knowing anyones name and now I love going to church and saying Hi to everyone!:)) It's something I am going to miss. and also I finally learned how to drive in this area and how to get home which is a pretty intense task if you know how bad I am with directions haha:) But anyways so This week the Bishop asked us to go see a bunch of less active people in the church and of course we said sure!! We put the address in the GPS and happily go on our way. There we are driving along listening and singing along to the christmas CD of David Archuleta (which I am seriously done with and never want to listen to again after listening to it for a week straight) and then we start to notice that the area looks a little different. I think to myself, hmm, I've never seen this area before I guess this is just on our border, oh well, and then we see  this HUGE BUILDING (which ended up being the Marlins Stadium) and I just look and my companion and my companion looks at me with big eyes and goes, "We are OUT OF OUR ZONE!!" ...
Okay let me explain as missionaries we are given an area and we are not supposed to go out of that area but sometimes we can go out of it for certain stuff but then we have a zone area and you are NOT supposed to go out of your Zone without permission so its really bad if you do. okay back to the story...
...I start freaking out like, "WHAT? what do I do? Do I turn? Sister!!"
My companion, " Sister Turn around, Turn AROUND, TURN AROUND!"
Me, " I can't, I can't, I can't!"
We were only a couple blocks out of our zone but we were freaking out so much it seemed like we had run over somethihng haha:) anyways as we are finally entering back into our zone we calm down a little and I say to my companion, "and thats why we dont give the car to Sister Miles"
:) Hope you guys have a GREAT WEEK!!!!! I know I will:)) I love you!! I ll let you know where I'm going next week!
Hurrah For Israel.
Love Hermana Miles
P.S. Transfer Miracles coming next week!
