Guys!
My companion is leaving me!!!! So transfer calls were last night and our Zone leaders call us and start telling us where every one is going. We are next and they go, " Sister Johnson....Leaving....Sister Miles....Staying and Training!" My mouth drops open, I started to hyperventilate, my eyes got really wide, and I was about to burst into tears thinking,"Im not ready to train! I just finished training!!" when all of a sudden we find out IT WAS A FAKE TRANSFER CALL!!! Those elders think they are so funny -_- They are not. But turns out I am staying but I am NOT training:) but my companion is leaving:(( I am so sad. I only got one transfer with her (six weeks) and it seems like we just got used to each other and now she is leaving. But it is okay I guess I still have work to do and people to find in this area. This week we found such an elect person! JOE!!:) He is so cool. He lived in New York his whole life and then came down here for the last couple of years. He had some problems with drugs in his past life but he decided that he needed to change his life so he had been staying clean for 75 days!!:)) He is so ready to change his life and is so repentant. He really is willing to put his trust and life in God's hands and he is great. We were teaching him and he pulls out this cigarette and asks if we mind him smoking in front of us and we both smile at each other and pull the cigarette and lighter out of his hands and ask him if there are any more cigarettes he would like to give us:) He goes into his house and comes out with this HUGE BAG of like 40-50 packs of cigarettes and hands them over and says that he is going to try to live the Word of Wisdom. We were so happy. We continue with the lesson telling him what a great choice he is making and how this is going to change his life and how happy Heavenly Father is with him when all of a sudden he says, "Wait I have to go back inside for something." He goes inside and comes outside with two packs of cigarettes and gives them to us with like the saddest face ever saying, " I kept two but I started to feel bad. Here you go." hahaha:) We love him already! He is getting baptized for sure:) Love you guys thanks for all the letters and email. Hope you week goes as good as mine:)
Love
Hermana Miles
P.S. Maybe I'll take a picture of the bag of cigarettes and send it to you guys:)
P.P.S. We were talking to our recent convert Guillermo and my companion told him that he needed to find himself a mormon wife and then he said, "Yeah and have mormon babies" hahaha The. Best. Ever.

Okay so today was an awesome week!! Guillermo got BAPTIZED!!! He was so excited but so nervous about the baptism. He kept on asking us, "So how many people are coming to my baptism?" So when he finally went into the water was put in and then got back up out of the water he said "thats it?" and was so excited and happy and hugged the elder that had baptized him:) It was like in those Missionary movies you always see:) He was so happy and he also got confirmed that same day too:) He said that during the blessing he felt so warm and happy. I was so excited for him! So something funny that happened this week was my companion and I were visiting a less active and there was this cheese sausage thing that you get for christmas and my companion was playing with one of the cheeses that was packaged up with plastic and the cheese kind of looked really gross and she accidentally opened the plastic and it sprayed into the Less actives eye and she said, "AHhh! It got into my mouth!!"haha:) My companion was of course mortified and I was just there laughing:) It was the best!
Love you guys hope everything is going great.

Miracle upon miracle this week guys!! Its crazy! My companion and I were trying to figure out what we did this week to deserve these many blessing this week! But we are definitely not complaining:) The biggest miracle that we had was meeting Guillermo! This is his story (Dun, dun dun!!) <---Get it? No? Its cool...So Guillermo is a guy that had had missionaries when he was younger, like 20 years ago, and he had not really listened to them or come to church. Slowly he saw that his life was missing something as he grew older and his life was falling apart. He fell into some bad stuff and his life really took a bad turn. Then a couple of years later he saw on Facebook Mormon.org  and he went on the website started looking at the videos and loved them! He then went to lds.org and started listening to the Book of Mormon online! BY HIMSELF!! With NO ONE To PUSH HIM!! That is amazing!! He had been doing this for a year when He had a dream about himself climbing up a tree and then he sees the sun and then he realized that the sun is God and then he just feels an overwhelming feeling of love! My companion and I thought this was interesting since it's kind of similar to Lehi's Dream:)) and the Guillermo continued to have these dreams about himself getting BAPTIZED IN OUR CHURCH!! AHH!!! He is so solid! He finally calls the elders, who directs him to us, and we start teaching him, or rather he asks questions and then answers them himself!:) He knows so much already about the plan of salvation! Family History work! Baptism for the dead! and then when we ever did answer a question he would just say, "OF COURSE!! that makes sense!" I love this guy!!! haha:) He came to church and felt of the spirit and is so solid to get baptized!! This is a true miracle!!! Heavenly Father is so kind to us for letting us be a part of his work especially with Guillermo! Heavenly Father prepared him so much that all we have to do is fill up his font with water:) This guy is so prepared for the church and can already feel of the love that our savior has for him and how proud Heavenly Father is of him. That was the biggest miracle this week but we had plenty more!! One of our investigators decided to get rid of a bunch of clothes and they were my size!!! all of them!!! yay!!! She thought we were doing her a favor but in reality it was like going shopping!!! I have so much new clothes now!! and after only four months of wearing the same clothes over and over again I was starting to get a little bored of my outfits!!! Who knew that Heavenly Father cares about us so much that he even decided to help us feel happy about our outfits;) Also my ward has been so nice and so great this whole time! They have been so welcoming and I am really growing to love them so much! Did I tell you guys that my companion is 5'10! as tall as taylor swift!!!!! Lets just say that people tell us apart by calling us the tall one and the little one:) haha:)

Love Hermana Miles

P.S. My companion is awesome too!!! MIRACLE UPON MIRACLE!!!
WRITE ME LETTERS!! PLEASE!! THANKS;)
p.s.s. My comp and I cant get this Alicia Keys song out of our heads
p.s.s.s. So we were trying to show guillermo how his baptism would go and we were showing him the example and I was the one getting baptized and my comp was baptizing me and she almost dropped me...no big deal...comp unity:) haha

Guys!! So how was your new years?? Mine was crazy!! So we had to be in by eight and our neighbors ( multiple ones...) played Latin music. All. Night. Long. but I guess it kind of reminded me of home so it wasn't that bad:) till we got woken up at Twelve by all the fireworks going off. So I guess  fireworks for new years here is really big. For weeks they were selling fireworks all over the place. And all night a couple were going off. But I guess since we have to wake up at six thirty we as missionaries don't extremely appreciate it but it was kind of cool the first couple hours:) When your on your mission you sometimes see people at their lowest points and it has been such a blessing to see how Heavenly Father sends us and we are able to be used as tools to help and comfort his children. This week we felt that we should visit a couple that we had been with last transfer. We visited her last night and it was perfect. The wife was there and she is going through a lot right now and it was such a blessing to be able to comfort and say a prayer with her. So we go door to door saying prayers with people and I have been able to see that every once in a while Heavenly Father helps me see how special his children are to him and how much he loves them and wants to help them:) Sorry this blog post is a little mushy, not that many funny things happened this week but I will make sure that I write down something super funny that happens this week:) I love you guys and hope everything is going swell. I am super pumped for this week and so should you guys. Hurrah for Isreal:)

Love Hermana Miles

P.S. They have like the coolest bible videos now on mormon channel!
P.P.S. So this week we went out to work and the car had died! it sounded like the battery had totally died. So we didnt know what to do. We called the couple missionaries but they said to call our Zone leaders but they were an hour away and weren't answering their phone:( So we decided we should say a pray to have Heavenly Father help us have our car work and turn on only for the mile that we need in order to get to Tire Kingdom. So we prayed and then my companion turns the key in the ignition...*click**click**click*nothing happens...I think in my mind *this is just a trial of my faith if we still believe it will turn on it will* click*click*click*VROOM!!!!and it suddenly turns on!!! We screamed so hard it was crazy! It might not seem like that big of a deal but it was a miracle to us!! We drove it straight to Tire Kingdom where we happily turned it into the mechanics and went to go get a bite to eat from their handy dandy vending machines! and we lived happily ever after:) The End.
